I know this is a kind of old thread but thought I'd give my advice on how to do well in it. If you can do that - all without thinking about it. When inside the range of BBs guns, again, always use your WASD, and don't be predictable. Look for that 'targeted' for 2-3 seconds - torps are on their way. That's where the surprise wall of torps comes from. Always use your WASD - especially after you aren't detected or targeted anymore. You may be hunting destroyers, but they can see you across the map. Understand that the Phoenix has HORRIBLE detection range. If what the team is doing seems reasonable (with or without chat), might as well join the team. Are these randomly selected team-mates acting right? Does there look like there is a plan. Note the 'maturity' level and actions at start. There is no shame at surviving the first 3 minutes.Īfter the battle starts, Look at your team. There are some conditions (low tier on a BB heavy CV match) that might make you want to hit the reverse direction at spawn. To do well begins before starting the engine.ġ) What tier levels are you placed? Low? High? Middle?Ģ) Is this a CV match (Phoenix has zip for AA)ģ) DD heavy? Cruiser heavy? BB heavy? What are you facing?Ĥ) Are there Divisions. Had to stop myself since I should be focused on IJN CVs. I'm 5K away from the Omaha with a 5 skill captain, and it's incredibly fun for a tier 4. Just so happens I'm up to a Phoenix in my other account (needed US torpedoes in Vella Gulf mission).
